Managing Alerts for Reusable Records

Monitor and respond to alerts when reusable records are updated or modified.

When administrators update the source content of a reusable record, those changes generate alerts for every instance where that reusable record has been used across the system. These alerts allow users to review and decide whether to apply the updated content to their FMEA worksheets.

How to Resolve Alerts

Alerts can be managed either from the Alerts Panel or directly from the FMEA Worksheet cell

1. From the Alerts Panel

  • Open the Alerts Panel
Click the two-bells icon located in the right navigation bar.
This will open the Alerts panel/drawer, which can be accessed from anywhere within the site.

  • Review Alerts
Alerts are organized by Workbook and further grouped by Row.

  • Approve or Reject Updates

    • Alerts can be approved directly from the panel without navigating away from your current page.

    • You may also approve or reject updates from the specific cell within the FMEA Worksheet if preferred.

  • Bulk Actions
When using the alerts drawer, you can approve or reject multiple cell recommendations in bulk for improved efficiency.

  • View Additional Context

    • Use the Row Overview icon located at the top of each row grouping to view additional context about that row.

    • If further review is needed, select Locate, which will automatically take you to the exact location of the alert within the FMEA Worksheet so you can review it in context with the rest of the analysis.

2. From a Worksheet Cell

When viewing an FMEA Worksheet, alerts are visually indicated within the worksheet.

  • Cells containing alerts will display a dashed border.

  • A two-bells icon will appear in the top-left corner of the cell.

To resolve an alert:

  1. Click the two-bells icon in the cell.

  2. A dialog window will appear displaying the recommended update.

  3. The dialog will show:

    • The Current value

    • The New recommended value

  4. Select Accept or Reject, then click Apply to resolve the alert.
