Applying Permissions and Restrictions

Note: By default, access to the workbook, FMEA worksheet, and associated Part is open to all users.

If permissions or restrictions are required, they can be specified at both the Part level and the Workbook level.

Part-Level Permissions/Restrictions

  1. Open the Part > Permissions tab within the part page to manage access and restrictions.

  2. Assign Groups

    • Assign user groups to limit access to specific functions or locations.

    • Review the members of each group before assigning to ensure accuracy.

  3. Preview

    • Use the available views to preview provisioned users after assignment.

Workbook-Level Permissions/Restrictions

  1. Open the Workbook > Permissions tab within the workbook to manage access and restrictions.

  2. Assign Groups

    • Assign user groups to limit access to specific functions or locations.

    • Review the members of each group before assigning to ensure accuracy.

  3. Preview and Notify

    • Use the available views to preview provisioned users after assignment.

    • Notify users as necessary from this view to confirm access.

Note: Permissions flow top-down. If restrictions are applied at the Part level, you can only further restrict access from those options at the Workbook level.
